The Broadband Communications Association of Washington (BCAW) is a trade association of franchised cable television companies in Washington State. All major companies operating in the state are represented in its membership. The group is governed by a board of directors made up of member company leaders.

Cable television companies in Washington serve over 1.4 million homes throughout the state – rural, suburban and urban. There are more than 20,000 miles of cable in Washington providing reliable broadband (Internet), video and voice services. BCAW members power over 3,000 wifi hotspots.


Cable companies employ over 4,000 Washingtonians with indirect jobs accounting for an additional 38,000. The total economic impact in Washington exceeds $6 billion annually and the companies pay over $150 million in taxes.
